Great breakfast and nice patio,

An amazing atmosphere including extremely fresh ingredients and the best staff you could imagine. I'm one of the pickiest people you'll ever meet and even I can't deny the awesomeness that is the food served at the Octopus Garden Cafe

We had an AMAZING dinner here. Such a surprise out here in Alma. We had a late trip to the Hopewell Rocks and luckily the Garden was open. The homemade pasta was spectacular (almost as good as my nonnas!!) as was the fish of the day. If you’re anywhere near here come visit!!!

Great art work on the walls. Upstairs art room, make your own. The two pasta dishes we had were exquisitely made.

The soup was so good. Service was great. Will deffinitly go back!

Great brunch and delicious coffee. Enjoyed eating outside with the sound of the nearby brook. Recommend getting a kombucha growler!

They served breakfast a little longer for us; the type of service you can only get in a small town. The food came very quickly right after. We got the Egg & Veg sandwich and added a side, which I recommend since we would have been a little hungry if not. Service was great!

The home made pasta is excellent! Had the smoked salmon Alfredo and loved it.

We tried this restaurant because it was dog friendly and we not disappointed. Eventhough they had misplaced our reservation (required if you want to bring a dog) they were able to seat us on the patio (only place dogs are allowed). The place was quite busy for a Thursday evening and the food did take a little while. But it was well worth the wait. My wife had the garlic alfredo and my pup and I enjoyed the rainbow trout. Everything was outstanding. The service was somewhat slower than I would have liked but again they were very busy. I wouldn't hesitate to return if I'm ever in Alma again. The 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

It was worth the drive from Hopewell Rocks! Both the food and the service was excellent. Don't let appearance fool you!

This place! This place! I'll travel to eastern Canada again JUST for this place! The owner and his wife are magnificently welcoming, even let me camp in their backyard as I was cycling through! I had a feast of seafood pasta for dinner, the best scallops I've ever had, EVER! I rolled out of town the next morning after a fantastic breakfast and pockets full of cinnamon rolls and other baked goodies. Make a trip specially to here!

Food was pretty good. I think they were short staffed tonight but they did their best. Was a wait for food, but food was tasty

Great spot to grab lunch - we stopped for a lobster sandwich and it was fantastic! We went on a Sunday in November. Octopus was one of the few places still open in the off season.

Went in at 815 and were told our party couldn’t be served because they were closing but the sign said they were open until 9. I am happy to take my business else where

Beatles themed cafe with great breakfast items. All the baked goods are made fresh. You can also find locally blended teas. Found the dinner menu a little pricey.

Lovely patio, great food. I had scallops and mussels ($10 for a big plate!). They also have a few good, local beers.

We enjoyed our lunch. The food is sourced local and prepared in the kitchen. The food is well seasoned and very tasty. Though I did try any, the baked goods looked especially delightful!The staff were very friendly and the restaurant was very clean. Art from local artists adorns the walls and is available for sale.

This is a must go to restaurant !A great place to relax and enjoy a meal or a snack. The two young ladies running the front were outgoing,very helpful, and charming. Lunch was prepared fresh and arrived hot as it should. You can sit on the front porch, the foyer, a large dining room, an enjoyable deck beside the creek, or a more relaxed and semi private upstairs with sofas and cozy chairs. I am definitely coming back!FYI, a lady down the road made a lime cake that was to die for- not light enough to be a regular cake and not heavy enough to be a pound cake, finished with a simply amazing topping you'd only expect from a 3 star Michelin establishment. The taste enraptured the buds and left you thinking of it the rest of the day.

My family hails from the east coast, but I personally grew up in southern Ontario. We visited Octopuses Garden on a whim after a recommendation from the chef at our Hotel in Moncton, and it was definitely worth the drive, considering we were visiting the Hopewell Rocks that same day.The drive was quite long, but this restaurant (which is only open fri-sat through the off season) is some of the most delicious food I have ever had. Fresh hand rolled pasta fettuccine, deliciously flavourful sauces and a wonderful waitress who once lived in Toronto and moved her life out here. Beautiful clean restaurant with local art plastered all over the walls, amazing food, and wonderful intimate and interactive service. I loved my visit here, I am so happy that we happened to come on a day the restaurant is open, despite our lack of planning.

Really nice healthy food. Don't look elsewhere, this is the best in Alma.

I only spent a few drinks but the place is lovely. They have a good selection of (healthy) drinks and small things to eat. The crew is so helpful and the music is good. Worth passing by when you are near!

Was attracted to this cosy restaurant on the way through town and decided it would be the place for dinner after we wandered the beach at low tide. This dining location seems to be popular among locals and travellers alike. We sat outside on the back balcony surrounded by foliage. There were plenty of seafood options, but because of allergies we went with pasta sans fruit de la mer. The mint lemonade is a winner.

The puttanesca pasta was WONDERFUL! The pasta is made in house, so light and tender. I had the add-in of scallops, cooked perfectly. Hubby had the lamb shank which he loved. Great service too!

Fresh ingredients which were locally sourced and great staff. The Fundy scallops are the best I have had in my life.

Delicious smoked salmon pasta with a scallop app to start. You can tell the pasta is made fresh and the flavours of everything stood out as complex and layered. Sitting on the patio allowed the stream in the back to help create a nice audio ambiance.

Good place to get some sea food. The waitress is really nice and efficient. It is called Octopus' Garden, and We had really wished it can had a little more affiliation to Beatles

Great little stop along the way in Alma! We ordered a chicken pesto sandwiches and coffee (which were fantastically large with free refills)! The food was fresh, reasonably priced, and the server was friendly and quick. Sweet little atmosphere with indoor and outdoor eating options. Public washrooms and parking were very accessible. Would highly recommend!

Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. The options are few but the quality of the food is amazing. Plenty of drinks options and a fridge full of fresh produce for sale. A wonderful place to stop for a bite.

On a roadtrip, we stopped here on a whim expecting sandwiches and side salads. We were pleasantly surprised with a beautifully curated seasonal menu and friendly faces! Marianne was so helpful in allowing us to stay after dinner to mingle with a fellow traveler over chocolate cake.

I've only been here once but I'm in love. We were really graciously accepted as dinner patrons, even near closing time, which was a relief after a long day of driving! I ordered the spicy pasta (VERY SPICY) and it was so delicious and bursting with flavour. Extreme bonus points for having delicious handmade pasta! My partner had the fish of the day which was trout, and said it was the absolute best saltwater trout he has ever eaten. And he's a man who knows good fish. It was a really nice feeling when the chef actually came into the dining room to make sure everyone was enjoying their food! Really reasonable pricing for the quality of meal! Very impressed and wishing I could come back for more!

The food was delicious but the service was not good at all. The chicken pesto sandwich was super yummy coupled with an enormous bowl of soup. Our waitress didn't check on us once to see how our food was or refill our water and then she gave me flack because I couldn't finish all of my soup. Aparently, "That doesn't happen here." She didn't bring us our check so we waited for a while at the counter to settle up. The waitress didn't acknowledge if our payment had gone through or really interact with us. While the food was good I probably wouldn't go back.

Fresh made pasta- delicious! Prepared quickly. Service was a tad rude. Good location for a stroll through town after the meal. There is a patio or back as well.There is art for sale, as well as bakery style sweets.Would return next time we're in the area.

A staple in any bay of Fundy trip. Wonderful staff and incredibly tasty food. Everything tastes so fresh and there's a lot of love in every bite. Breakfast was great last year we were here. This year dinner was great this. Check the schedule to catch a live band!

Nice niche seafood/pasta restaurant in Alma. Not kid friendly, but the dishes are excellent and perfect for the seafood lover as well as those who enjoy Italian dishes with the maritime slant. Great evening place on the back patio.

Great restaurant in tiny Alma. This is a cafe and bistro all in one. The chef is very creative with dishes and really knows his craft. I loved the variety of different vegetables in the fish offerings. I had cod and it was cooked just right. We also had some of the hand made pasta; also delicious. Outdoor seating is pleasant and casual. Indoor in adorned with local artwork. Good coffee and baked goods as well. I think it’s the best restaurant in Alma and certainly the best place if you need a break from the seafood places. Only concern was side salad was on the small side and came with a roll larger than the salad.

This place is awesome. I've been camping around Canada for 3 weeks now and it's been hard to find a place to charge electronics and connect to WiFi. My girlfriend and I tried this place and ordered a pitcher of awesome ice tea and spent hours on end here. It has two WiFi networks and plenty of places to charge your phone or laptop. All not to mention some pretty great drink options. Overall I really appreciated the ability to loiter around while catching up on things.

Really delicious meal. Had the cod fish of the day and was thoroughly impressed. Comes highly recommended.
